The highlights of camp

The wildlife center

In franz josef we went to the kiwi house when we got there we went into the building and learnt about kiwi and stots we learnt that the most endangered kiwi was the rowi once we had learnt a little bit about what we were looking at we went to see the kiwis it was time to go in but before we went in we had to stop and look at some things about the kiwi then we went into the kiwi room miss panther told us to be quit and we will see them there was some glass we looked through the glass we saw a little baby kiwi it was running all over its hous then we seen the other kiwi it was hiding in the corner of its house eating then we went out of the kiwi house to the glacier room in the glacier room there was fake glaciers made out of fiberglass all over the place there were lots of tunnels to take pictures in and they even added sound effects.

The tree top walk

In hokitika we went to the tree top walk when we got there we had some lunch then we walked up a big hill to the beginning it was time to go on the thirst bridge I was a little bit scared but I still went on there then I realized that all of it was a bridge then we got to the tower I didn't go on it but all my friends did some of my friends told me that it shaked a lot once everyone was back down from the tower we kept on walking to the swinging part we could only go in groups of 8 so the teacher had to put us into groups I didn't go on the swing bridge because I was to scared then we kept on walking to the big hill then we had to walk down the big hill again at the bottom a lady that works there gave us some hats and pens.

Lake Matheson

In fox glacier we went to Lake Matheson at lake Matheson there were lots of tourists then we started walking to lake Matheson we had to walk over a swing bridge then we started going up hill then we stopped at a picnic table and had a bit of a brake there was a really good view then we kept walking to a even betta viewpoint to get a class photo then we walked back over the swing bridge past all the tourist and back to the car her are me and my friends at Lake Matheson.
